PROJECT 1

Recomposition Jacek Yerka's Surrealistic Artwork

15/10/18 - 29/10/18
(Week 08 - Week 10)

In this few week, we have to choose surrealistic artwork from Jacek Yerka and recompose it in Adobe Photoshop using stock imagery from such stock image foundaries. The size for it are either 1920 x 1080 or 1080 x 1920. For this recomposing artworks not within the ratio will require cropping/filling in gaps with content aware fill and he proportion of those subject must be maintained.

For this project, Mr Hafiz and Mr Jeff recommended us to take our own picture because it will be more easier to find the similar match or angle for it.

I research few artwork that from Jacek Yerka and I found out there are few artwork that I like such are "The Big Fish", "Settlers From The Mars", "Bathyscape", "Homestead","Dessert Island" and more. But after few decisions, I finally decided to choose "Dessert Island" because I love ocean very much and it attracts me to recomposition it.

In the first week, I went out and took some photo of trees, road and sky for finding the right angle of it. After that I took some photo of my collection shell because I have a habit by collecting seashell. Due to some of the items I didn't have, I have to find it online to match it.

After having those photo that I want, I started to recomposition Jacek Yerka's artwork which I have choose. But, I found out there are a problem which is some of the colour are not really the same so I recolour it by using different tool like brush tool and image adjustment.
