FEEDBACK

Week 06
20/05/2020

After I presented my Project 2(B), Ms Hsin gave me some feedback about it. Ms Hsin said that from my uniqe selling points, it seens that the festival is more focus on local and international performances. This made my tagline are different from uniqe selling points. Ms Hsin suggested me to come out with a new tagline. Not only that, I have to further explain on brand personality, because it will build the tone & manner for the brand.

Here are the note that Ms Hsin gave after we presented:

The USP does in line with the brand strength and research & analysis evident clearly shown in the featured activities. Brand personality can be improved, and overall creative brief will be more complete by including Brand Positioning Statement.

BranD Issue 33; TYPEPRO: ASIA

Figure 1.0: The cover of BranD Issue 33

Making full use of a good typeface largely depends on what project you are working on. For example, book designers usually choose typefaces that have all the weights and styles needed to create good typographic hierarchy in a particular layout. This means that making sure the selected typeface can cover headlines, subheadings, text (with italics), captions and so on.

In an interview with renowned artist and designer - Jianfeng Pan, he states that as a professional designer, communication must be talked about it before they design. Therefore, communication is much more important than design itself. This is especially true with typeface design. This is because a good typeface should be designed based on a particular communication aim in mind.
